Bill of Materials
The factory needs a complete and accurate list of all of the parts and materials required to assemble, test, and ship the final product. This list is called the BOM. It should consist of everything from the injection-molded parts to the tape used to close the box and the fraction of the bottle of Loctite required to glue parts together. Remember you can’t build a product without first ordering everything! You don’t want to have your million-dollar project on hold because you forgot to order the right tape.
